1st Grade Vs The Entrance
FINAL SCORE LAST HOME GAME & LAST MATCH REPORT FOR 2011
SHARKS 71 RAMS 7
Management apologises for the delay in producing this report however the post game controversey with players player points with Conan taking the unthinkable step of calling for a Royal Commission and the immediate confiscation of all ballot boxes caused much confusion and delay during the past week. After obtaining a QC opinion via the club’s instructing solicitors Tort Tort & Meretort we are now able to report that Conan only got one vote in the player’s player award and that the player’s player for the game was not him. In fact although it was close the winner Hippy actually got 273 votes just shading a very disappointed Conan who got 1 !
Man of the match was Speedy with 39 points from 5 tries and 7 conversions. Dinner suit who holds the senior club record of 7 tries in a game was a happy man when Speedy had to come off early with cramp. The fact that Dinner suit was seen sticking pins in a doll that looked similar to a dressed up Speedy is only conjecture. Dylan scored 2 tries and a conversion whilst Fuz,Young Sherry ,Murph and Jimmy all got across the line for a try.( 11 tries in all )
The Rams tired hard and were rewarded with a try under Barries’ hill which saw the try scorer rewarded with a very large bourbon (sponsored by Greg Barr). The post game confusion meant that management also misplaced the best and fairest results except for Speedy who got the 3 points . The rest is a blur caused by the struggle with Conan over the ballot boxes . Shane Lloyd in his first run on in 1st grade had a strong game and young Jack Booker got a taste when he replaced young Sherry ( taken off because of over heating)
In all not that much of hard hitout going into the semis but at least players like Jimmy got to run out the cobwebs and Jenko kept his blood pressure under control.
Next game is the major semi vs Gosford.Congratulations to all on the minor premierships in 1sts and 2nds plus the 3rds making the minor semi.We should all should be proud of winning the club championship in 2011

FINAL SCORE
SHARKS 43 WILDCATS 12
With many of the team suffering the after effects of a mystery virus and Warnervale up for the big game it took sometime for the boys to get on top. An early penalty goal from Speedy was the only points for a large part of the first half despite our field dominance. At lemons it was 15-0 and Warnervale were still in the game
A half time rev up by coaches Jenko & Jason Donovan saw us come out with a better outlook and despite Hippy , Murph and some others still stricken by that mystery virus the old hands of Fuz , Lennie, Conan and Oatie started hammering the Warnervale line. Chad made a welcome return to form after his Greek Holiday.
Julian Biber back from his Queensland rock tour and the Fuz also impressed the coaches with some good defensive work and their darting runs.
The Sherry brothers caused havoc everywhere they went and both got over for tries whilst a brief recovery from his virus saw Murph’s vision clear allowing him to take an intercept and race away for a 50 meter try.
Speedy continues to add to his points tally and Oatie stood out and also scored a try
Once again Conan was very unlucky not to get the players’ player award missing out only by 14 votes. That went to the younger Sherry. We noet that this report is a Josh Davies free zone.
In all a good effort against a side that tried hard all day and with that mystery virus affecting so many we did well…….
Cheers

1st Grade Vs Northlakes 30-7-2011
Final Score Avoca Beach 76 Northlakes 7
We were expecting a very hard tussle but when our 2nd grade led the competiton front runners easily by half time and then in the warm up we could not see many Indians coming over the horizon the management were wary of the out come. When Sherry crashed over under the posts after 1 minute the writing was on the wall for the visitors and by half time it had blown out to 50 something to their nil. Sherry added another and he was was keen to become the first prop in 1sts to score a teble. That meant he ran a fair bit but others kept taking the ball off him
Once a gain Conan , Stretch and Oatie were the back bone of a very solid tight 5 with Hippie running off their solid base.Debutants Brigga & Mitchy Mitch did well in their first run on and showed that our juniors will continue to supply quality players to the senior grades
Speedy fresh from a quick trip to NZ to hone his kicking skills scored 26 points inclduing 2 tries and 8 conversions. In all we scored 12 tries with doubles going to Sherry , Speedy, Chad and then one each to Hippy , Conan,Dave Maryska,Tommy , Dan & Beatle.
Good to see Dave Maryska come out of retirement to bolster our back line stocks. So keen was he that he also played 2nds and came on as a replacement and bagged a try ! Thanks also to Strug (the younger) who started in the backs because Josh Davies was still at the hair dressers untill well into the 2nd half. Players player was Sherry . Conan did figure but after another pre game wardrobe malfunction the writing was on the wall for the big fella
Next week it is Warnervale away in what will be a hard game. They are no longer the easy beats of the compeption and we will need our game day heads on.
Cheers

MATCH REVIEW
1st Grade VS KARIONG Saturday 16TH July 2011 at KARIONG
Result : Avoca 17 Kariong 32
Well it was a grand final replay and with Kariong getting the honours in round one we were looking for revenge. The day dawned cold and overcast which seems to be the norm up there.
Super 15 Referee Nathan Pierce was a welcome breath of fresh air on the scene and he made for a fast game where certain people were made to play by the rules for a change
Without Speedy ,Jimmy and Dan we were a bit light on out wide but congratulations to those who came up from 2nd grade especially Tom Russell who was courageous in all aspects at fullback. Well done Tommy !
In the first half we were over the line 3 times but ruled held up and dominated territory. However at lemons we were down 10-0. Our forwards were always on top but we could not get over the line and counter attacks by Kariong saw them score tries
Aided by 2 length of the field intercept tries the final score was 32-17. In the 2nd half we fought back well and at 25-17 it look like we could do it but the final intercept try did the damage
The Sheridan brothers had a big day out with a try each and Captain Stretch was his usual formidable self. Oatie put on and took some big hits whilst Conan who should have got points and players player (NSW Electoral Council are looking at the ballot papers) was in the thick of things.
Still with this week a bye we remain on top of the table and with many to return we will present stronger in the semis

MATCH REVIEW
1st Grade VS Ourimbah Saturday 9th July 2011 at Ourimbah Rugby Park
Result : Avoca 35 Ourimbah 10
It was always going to be tough with a number of players out through injury and other commitments
Some missed opportunities early saw it close at half time. Young Josh Meadham made a good debut at hooker whilst the twins Dave & Dan were solid in the centres
Ando scored a good try off a set move with Speedy keeping the enemy at bay with accurate goal kicking
Hard to go past Jumbo/s 30 meter effort for a 5 pointer as the main contender for prop's try of the year
The 2nd half saw us reduce the errors and we kicked away to a good lead.
Juice came on for an injured Wes Tancred and despite a full game in 2nds was able to give the scrum strength. Young Sherry continued his good form and with the trio of Conan/Stretch & Oatie backing him up our forwards got on top.
Fuz’s field goal attempt led to our 4th try when Stretch followed through to pluck the ball off the crossbar and slam it down under the post. Once again a bonus point to increase our standing at the top of the table.
In all a good club effort and congratulations to 2nds who held out for a draw despite some players having to back up from 3rds. An undermanned 3rds went down 21-7 and as the referee gave Ourimbah 14 points due to what only could be called “interesting decisions” it was good effort that went unrewarded

MATCH REVIEW
1st Grade VS Gosford Saturday 2nd July 2011 at the SHARKPOOL
Result : Avoca 32 Gosford 29
The stage was set for a big match. No excuses on missing players with a fine and sunny day watched by a big crowd
The battle for no 1 spot was on and with wins in 3rds and 2nds it was all set for the 2011 clash of the titans. Reved up by Coach Stewart and the Jason Donovan look alike Todd (Kylie) Petrie the team was ready to rock.
Despite getting first blood from a Sherry special converted by Speedy and a penalty by half time we were down 26-10 aided by a Gosford penalty count that gave them plenty of shots at the sticks
Captain Stretch and the boys were confident they could turn things around and from the kick off we went on the attack. Led by the roar of Dave Horton and the solid performance of our forwards we added tries from the Fuz and with one of sheer brilliance from speedy in the corner the score was 26-25 with under 7 minutes to go
Sherry scored to win the game but the referee after awarding the try changed his mind and disallowed it. The howls of the Avoca supporters will be still ringing in his ears as we write this.
Gosford got back into our half and a long range penalty saw them 29-26 with the Red Devils celebrating the win. From the kick off we drove into their half and aided by a penalty we went to the line out. Won by Stretch we rucked it wide and attacked near the posts. Horton drifted wide from a ruck and turned the ball back inside to a rampaging Sherry who crashed over near the posts. Avoca wins ! Speedy converted , the whistle went and justice was done !
All played well but once again the Sheridan brothers were in the thick of it and by the 2nd half our scrum was taking the Gosford 8 apart. Congratulations to Wes Tancred getting his first run on in 1st grade. An achievement even more remarkable given he was declared clinically deaf after spending his childhood sharing a room with brother Murray and lying awake all night listening to Murray talk at a high decibel range in his sleep. Dave Horton showed his class whilst Dan was once again strong in the middle

1st Grade VS Blue Filth Saturday 25th June 2011 at the Haven
Result : Avoca 28 Blue Filth 8
With 3rds and 2nds recording victories over the Filth and a big crowd forming the stage was set for an epic encounter typical of matches against our seaside neighbours. The 1st half saw some brutal defence from both sides and when Terrigal posted a penalty their supporters thought the day was theirs. But they failed to realise that Conan was just warming up when after a sustained burst from our forwards he crashed over under the post. Speedy converted and from there we were never headed After Jimmy ran 65 meters to post a great try and Speedy converted again it was 10-3 . However when both half backs traded blows downfield it was handbags at 10 paces and for their efforts they both got 10 minutes on the sideline.
Julian Bieber used the time to get his hair re-arranged and his makeup touched up.
Just after half time Jimmy struck again side stepping his way through 8 Trojans and ran 45 meters to score under the post. Speedy converted again and it was 17-3. When Speedy broke through soon after for a 40 meter canter the conversion was slotted and we lead 28-3. A try against the run of play saw the Filth get to 8 points but that was the last hurrah for them
Murp was given a rest for over vigorous play as was the Filth’s 7 for being the pest he was
Our scrum continued to dominate and our forwards smashed them all over the park. Hippy led from the front and Sherry & Jumbo did their jobs superbly. Stretch , Conan , Oatie , Chad & young Sherry were all outstanding on the day
Players’ player Conan set a club record when he polled 476,787 votes in the poll for player’s player. Given that the maximum votes you can get is 22 the decision has been referred to the Australian Electoral Commission. A great victory on a superb rugby day
Next its us against Gosford again at home …. This will be another benchmark for the balance of the season

| The Gosford game was a top of the table clash with Gosford claiming they would take us on but were under strength. Coach Jenkins played along and did not let on that with 15 players on the injured list and Aussie Bob still to sign for 2011 we were also under the pump. From the kick off the tight 5 led by Conan and Captain Stretch got on top of the Gosford pack and when Oatie scored under the post our dominance was apparent. Mat Hipwell was everywhere and his front row of Jumbo & Sherry were never off the pace. An injury to Jay Steele saw the younger Sheridan Brad get his chance to impress. In a short time he showed that he was going to press for a permanent spot at 7. In all a tough hard performance which saw us despite some dubious decisions run out the true winners of this contest. It was a victory with some cost as Dan , Lennie and Jay all suffered injuries and came off. The game against Woy Woy was previewed as a tough one but from the kick off it showed Woy Woy were not the side they were in the first round. With Speedy at inside and Dinner suit on the wing James Latham ( the prodigal) returned at 15. Sherry & his brother Brad were worthy winners of the players player award and your Brad got the 3 points Conan showed his experience and his 50 meter sidestepping run in the first half made Coach Jenkins think that he could replace some injured backs with the rampaging second rower. Conan figured prominently in the player’s player vote but the Brothers Sheridan just shaded him. He did get a point in the best & fairest which did save management from some punishment Rumour has it that Captain Steele is joining the Australian Diplomatic Corp if his weekly practice on our referees is any indication of where he sees his future Next week it’s the Blue Filth at their home ground….Let’s give it to them and sing Cheers Boys in the their Club House ! Match Report 1st Grade Vs The Entrance
V’S at GROUND : Bateau Bay Oval
RESULT: AVOCA 62 The Entrance 0
A long trip to Bateau Bay for the surfing fraternity but at least it allowed Coach Stewart to go back to his coaching roots. He actually can look like someone from Killarney Vale when he really tries.
It was a pumped up dressing room before the game with veteran forward CONAN demonstrating that the note sent by management home to his lovely wife last week about what he needed to put into his kit bag for a game was acted upon. This will now be a stock item for all tight forwards who must this week provide management with the correct contact details for all girlfriends and wives so that this ship will no longer run aground !
A spirited contest was expected and at the kick off our boys went straight onto the attack.
Chad Martin/Sherry were in everything from the start ably supported by Oatie ( playing at 6 to give Doris a rest from her usual Saturday punishment ) and a determined Jay Steele
At lemons the call was to hold the pattern and go on with it. The players responded and kept hammering away at the Rams.
With Chad and Sherry getting 2 tries each , Conan sneaking through for a 25 meter ruck buster and Jumbo adding to his season tally it looked like the forwards would once again dominate on the score board. But after dusting off their makeup and ably led by the FUZ our backs responded and without the use of their hand bags , the precious ones responded with 4 of their own as Dinner Suit got 2 and one each went to Dan & Horto
Speedy had to leave early due to a prior media commitment and Dylan took over the kicking slotting 3 from 3 to keep everyone on the bench excited.
Next week it’s the Gosford devils in a top of the table clash that will define where we are in the pecking order for 2011

1st grade Vs Warnervale
GRADE : 1ST GRADE
VENUE : THE SHARK POOL
VS : WARNERVALE
RESULT : AVOCA 50 WARNERVALE 10
A very spirited Warnervale came out with all guns blazing and assisted by some interesting decisions it was 10-10 at lemons
Coach Jenkins appeared calm and with resolve he pulled out his Churchillian speech and had the boys fired up for the second half. With Speedy running riot outwide we put on 6 tries in the second half
Conan’s mate Dan put on some big hits in centre field whilst Josh Davies directed play from his armchair. Murph was strong on the ball and got 2 meaties
In the first half the Fuz appeared dazed and bewildered. Rumour has it he had sustained a work related head injury the night before. However when his head cleared and after Dave Horton hit him with some good ball he got the backs moving. The jack rabbit (Len Beckett) confused everyone with some of his trade mark darts across , around and under the opposition.
Young Jay Steel recovering from his motor bike accident had a big game taking out the points and winning man of the match.
When Juice ran out of juice Jeff Andrew took the field after a full game in 2nds for his first 1s tXV appearance. Like the little red fire engine he just keeps trying and was rewarded with a man of the round performance.
Conan was a late starter for the game due to his involvement in a socks dispute with management but was able to get across for a 5 pointer in the 2nd half.
Players are reminded that any private sponsorship they are using to top up their match payments must be approved by the ARU salary cap auditor and then passed by the committee.

Northlakes away at Slade Park is always a hard game to get up for. Add to that Uber manager Burns also away on rep duties and rookie Grunter in control for the day Coach Jenkins was quite nervosa about it all. At half time despite scoring 3 tries we only led 15-7. With points scoring machine Matt Maloney away at a wedding ( no he was not in Auckland giving his brother kicking lessons ) did Coach Jenkins decide whoever scores can have a kick ?
Unfortunately only the Fuz was able to convert his try whilst Stretch exercising his captain privileges saw his go astray and the laughs continued when Dinner Suit stepped up for a conversion attempt managing to stretch his hammy and miss all in the one movement.
Chad Martin had a man of the match performance ably supported by Murph out wide. Matt Anderson capped his first run in 1st grade in 2011 with a try whilst David Horton was strong before going off with an injury

1st Grade Match Report Vs Kariong
7th May 2011
VS : KARIONG
RESULT : AVOCA 24 KARIONG 29
This was the big one a grand final replay of our past 2 year’s triumphs.
We started in second gear and never really got into it during the first half .At lemons it was 22-5 against us with a very large mountain to climb
The kick off for the second half looked good but a defensive lapse saw Kariong score again and convert …it was now 29-5 !
To our credit the boys rallied and with David Horton making breaks backed up by Speedy and the youthful Josh Davies we got back to 29-24.
The last 10 minutes saw our forwards really rip into Kariong and we had a number of opportunities to score and win the game.
However it was not to be and the final score was 29-24.
Peter Steele led from the front and was ably supported by Fuz ,Beetle and Horto.
Our scrum was solid but some basic errors across the field led to our downfall. On a more positive note Josh Davies move to o/s centre for the first half saw him take his season tackle count to 8 and this week his jumper was washed !
Uber Coach Jenkins was heartened by the fight back and we know all know that every game will be a grand final for us this year. We have to lift because everyone wants our scalp….The backlash of being popular…just ask the management !

Welcome back to the Sharkpool for the big clash against Kariong . Last week saw near riots at the Sharkpool when Ourimbah defeated us in 1st grade 17-16. Children went without food, wives without money and old ladies were crying in the streets of Avoca after the defeat. Sharkbait’s palace insider has it on good authority that Super Coach Stewart Jenkins maintains the full support of the committee and that last week was a slight hiccup to our season. In between his media commitments for Advanced Hair Studios, President Juice confirmed that the rumoured signing of Cipriani as next year’s defensive coach was simply that “a rumour”. Anyway the entire club’s cash has been allocated to ensure the security of teenage pop superstar JULIAN BIEBER at every home game. There will be nothing left after those funds are spent. A tale of Romeo & Juliette gone wrong
A certain camera carrying, long time bachelor & committee member - to protect the guilty lets call him Romeo - is in the throes of re-igniting a school yard passion. Apparently the lady concerned has come back into Romeo's life recently and in a desperate effort to get back into the romance race Romeo took off for a secret rendezvous in Sydney.
After getting his car serviced and his hair done he was travelling south on the F3 when his car developed engine trouble. He pulled over to check it out and when looking under his bonnet he felt a strange sensation in his groin, Was this excitement or what? No it was fire ants crawling inside his privates! After much anguish and jumping around Romeo fought them off. He then spruced himself up and proceeded at great haste to his romantic rendezvous. He arrived and ever hopeful the fires of passion were still there Romeo made his first move by saying
“please Juliette remove the sting but leave the swelling”
…alas his beloved after waiting so long and seeing the effects of angry red ants replied ….
“Dearest I have developed a head ache …come back new week !”
Welcome back to the real world Romeo!

Round 2 v Terrigal
09-04-2011 @ SHARK POOL HEAZLETT PARK
Avoca Sharks 43 Terrigal 8
Other than a grand final this is the game we all love to win. A sunny day and with Barrie’s hill packed our boys were fired up to take on the enemy from over the hill.
Running into Barrie’s hill we lead 25-3 by half time with Lennie causing havoc in the centres and Speedy running rings around them out wide
Julian Bieber justified his celebrity status with some strong darts from the scrum base that had the legions of school girls watching swooning in the late afternoon sun.
Once again our forwards led the way with Conan making his mark on the Filth’s no 7 and Oatie & Stretch solid in the middle. A stray elbow taken on the nose by Stretch saw him spend 10 minutes in the blood bin before half time.
A long break whilst out under 7’s showed their wares saw us running to the lake in the 2nd half. The Filth only scored a try when we had 2 men in the sin bin and the final result was well and truly a convincing victory.
Coach Stewart Jenkins was well pleased with the efforts of all players and in particular Oatie’s strong showing in defense and taking the ball up.
With a tackle made against Woy Woy and then 2 tackles in a row against the Filth Dinner Suit Davies
has made a statement for the rest of the season .But does that mean he will he make another tackle given he has made more tackles this year then in his past 10 seasons ?
Stay tuned dear reader and watch the year unfold

Sam Fortey Banished for 12 months
Last year’s premiership winning 1st grade half back Sam Fortey has been banished by the club after an unsavory off field incident. Please cover your children’s ears and eyes whilst we divulge his travesty
HE HAD HIS PHOTO TAKEN IN A BLUE FILTH JERSEY
At an emotional press conference Sam’s father and long time club stalwart Steve Fortey admitted that what Sam had done was basically shattering to his family. He admitted that Sam brought shame on both the Forty’s. And the ABRFC.
As Steve said “He is my son and I intend to work with him over the next 12 months and help him to understand what he has done. Hopefully he will come back better for the experience and as a 7 time runner up for the Pest of the Year Award Sam still has a lot to offer the club “
Steve concluded by asking all club members to find it in their hearts to forgive Sam and when he is finally rehabilitated ensure that he never ever repeats such an error.

In a coup for incoming coach Stewart ( Jenko) Jenkins the club is pleased to announce that this week the starting half back in 1st grade will be Julian Bieber.
After last week’s cameo run on against Woy Woy the teen heart throb who started his singing career delivering fresh fruit for TJ’s at Kincumber has agreed to a game to his early evening concert on the steps of the clubhouse (girls between 18 and 25 admitted free if still in their original school uniforms and accompanied by their mother)
Bieber’s publicists confirmed that major sponsors Adidas ,Avoca Beach Cake shop and the Pizzeria had pooled their resources to enable the teen heart throb to be signed for this important clash.
Bieber’s run on is at the expense of offseason signing David Horton who injured his ankle during a strong first up showing against Woy Woy last week .Noted rugby enthusiast Ben Spindler was ecstatic when he heard the news saying “ I just can’t wait to hear his rendition of MUMMA MIA during the warm up !”
2nd grade Coach Matt Parker admitted that he did not know Bieber was Italian.
“ Julian I want to be your mother “

Jenkins makes Super Comeback ?
Could Stewart (Jenko ) Jenkins newly appointed 1st grade coach for 2001 lost to the club for the remainder of the Super 15 season ?
With rumors that the Tahs have resurrected the career of a guy nicknamed “Jenko” rumors abounded that Coach Jenko was Sydney bound
Our investigative reporter Arse Tu Wide immediately left for Sydney on the 11.30 express to central to investigate
Using his unlimited contacts we have found out the truth .In breaking news we are pleased to advise that:
The TAHS NEW SIGNING IS NOT COACH JENKO
Apparently THEY ONLY HAVE the same “nickname”
Like always the truth may hurt but our readers will always know it

No Shit No Ship HMAS Adelaide To Go Down
Controversy surrounds the forthcoming sinking of the HMAS Adelaide off Avoca Beach. Rumor has it that Club President Andrew “Juice “ Parker has thrown his full weight behind the dumping of this vessel. When confronted by Sharkbait President Juice admitted that he had voted for the sinking. When pressed President Juice admitted that part of his re-election platform included the provision of a new grand stand. He believes that the sinking of the vessel provides the club with the opportunity for a new grandstand. Basically his plans included the hiring of rubber ducks from the surf club and accompanied by members of the tight five he planned to board the Adelaide as it rounded Avoca Point and then under his command run the vessel up through the lake entrance and scuttle it between the oval and the North Avoca side of the lake.
By doing this President Juice hopes to achieve 2 things
1) Obviously a new grandstand ( with 10 corporate boxes ) and
2) A revenue stream for the club whereby with the laying planks to and from the vessel the club will have the much needed walkway between Avoca and North Avoca. He spoke about toll gates manned night and day by committee members and out of work Gosford Council stop/go staff
Warming to his task President Juice also envisaged using the HMAS Adelaide’s helicopter platform to commence helicopter joy rides for supporters during home games.
He noted that Julian Bieber had to be driven in for today’s game as there was no helicopter access to the Shark Pool
Such inconveniences would now be a thing of the past with rock concerts, helicopter tours and the toll revenue ensuring that the ABRFC would remain financial well into the next century
Your reporter was just blown away by the vision of President Juice
Truly a man of vision and innovation despite the portrait of Pauline Hanson that graces his office
Round 1 v Woy Woy
02-04-2011 @ Woy Woy Oval
Avoca Sharks 35 Woy Woy 10
It was big week for coach Nervosa what with his first time at the helm of 1st Grade and the last minute negotiations with Uber manager Robert Burns which saw Nervosa sign Robert to a lucrative 3 game contract he had a lot on his plate.
Gosford Council in their wisdom closed all training grounds during the week given they needed the ground to remain pristine so they could park 350 cars on it when the HMAS Adelaide gets sunk .
However with the return of child prodigy David Horton to the club along with the CCRU rep players the team taking the field was pretty much the one that finished covered in fame, beer and dressed like girls after last year’s grand final.
With Sam Fortey suspended by the club for 12 months due to his allowing himself to be photographed in a Blue Filth jersey ( how could he do that to his family ? ) ,Fuz moved to half back and David Horton took over 5/8 duties.
Great to see that referee Carl Duriz set up good standard displaying all his whistle blowing skills during the first half. With the new ARU interpretation that just because a ball goes through the posts over the back dot does not mean a goal will be awarded things were a little tight at half time with the Sharks leading 13-10 at oranges.
Our scrum was dominant all game with big efforts from Jumbo, Sherry & Hippy upfront
Fired up by Coach Nervosa and backs coach Pertrie the boys came out with more purpose after halftime allowing Speedy to display all his speed skills out wide. Last year Dinner Suit Davies waited until the grand final to make a tackle however due to an intense pre season programme Dinner Suit actually made a cracker , saving a try , getting his jersey dirty and not spilling any blood ! Unbelievable
An ankle injury to David Horton saw Coach Nervosa become the innovator once again. How did he get Justin Bieber to make a cameo appearance at half back when Fuz moved to 5/8 ? His coffers must be bottomless. There is obviously a lot of money in gas.
We were a bit rusty and understandably so but good efforts from Chad in tight and Lennie in the backs helped us show some form . Captain Peter Steele led from the front and was obviously so proud to hold aloft the David Steele Memorial Trophy after the game. In a tight vote Stretch was voted “players player”
Next week it is the Blue Filth at home with Justin Bieber rumored to be bringing his band for the after game function. We may need more security to keep the school girls out of the clubhouse
How does Coach Nervosa do it ?
Cheers
